President
Mike (Mac) McCormack
​Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Mac played hockey in RYHA, Mayo High School and at Iowa State University. He continues to play senior league hockey and has played for two state championship teams as well as a runner-up finish. He has coached youth, high school, tier I, and college club teams for nearly forty seasons. Mac holds a USA Hockey Level 5 CEP certification. In addition to coaching, he is an on-ice official youth hockey, high school and ACHA college for nearly thirty-five years. He serves as the lead instructor for the power skating clinics as well as coaching various levels in the fall hockey camps. He has been a board member for RYHA, District 8 hockey, and has been the GM for the High-Performance girl's hockey program. Both Mac and his daughter, Mackenzie, are past recipients of RHF scholarships.
Particular Interest:
He is especially interested power skating and in girls' hockey. With his father (Neil) and wife (Teresa) the McCormack family has contributed extensively to hockey in Rochester.

Treasurer
Jay Ness
Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Jay played for the Rochester Mustangs and captained the team to a national championship at the Junior A level. His number fifteen was retired after he received a scholarship to play at Lake Superior State. During his college career he captained his team to an NCAA national championship. Upon his return to Rochester, he has coached the Lourdes boys varsity, RYHA teams, and the John Marshall boys varsity team.

Particular Interest:
Jay is interested in teaching and coaching, and regularly participates in educational hockey events. Jay assisted on ice at the 2011 Rochester Safety Clinic organized and financed by the Rochester Hockey Foundation and co-sponsored by the Rochester Youth Hockey Association, Minnesota Hockey and the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center.

Debbie Colgan
Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Debbie grew up in Rochester with brothers who played, a father who coached, and spent weekends attending Mustang games with her dad. Her son continued in the sport through college and a brief time in the professional leagues. She is a fan!

Particular Interest:
Debbie is interested in providing access to everyone who wants to play, promoting strong foundation skills, and keeping the game safe for all. She has, with Aynsley Smith, coordinated a Safety Clinic, and serves as a reviewer of the RHF scholarships for high school seniors.
​
Job:
Debbie has been teaching figure skating for over 40 years. She has occasionally taught power skating to hockey players, and was her older son's first hockey coach, and the termite commissioner for her younger son. Deb has helped co-direct and choreograph the Rochester Figure Skating Club's Annual Spring Ice Show for 31 years..

Masood Dehnafivar
Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Masood grew up playing hockey in Chicago, played high school at Westminster Prep School in Simsbury, CT and went on to play college hockey at Colby College in Waterville, ME where his team made an NCAA appearance and won an ECAC championship. He moved to Rochester in 2009 and helped coach the Century High School girls hockey team. He continues to coach youth hockey for the teams his children play for and has a Level IV USA hockey coaching certification.
Particular Interest:
Helping youth hockey players develop appropriate technique with a focus on skating ability while also ensuring strong hockey skill and awareness.
Job:
Masood is the Senior Vice President and Trust Department Manager for the Merchants Bank Trust Department.

Brad deWerd
Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Brad graduated from Owatonna High School in 1976. He earned 6 letters in Football, Golf and Hockey. He was Owatonna's first High School All-American in Hockey. After high school, Brad played hockey at the junior and collegiate level, and then briefly in the Western Hockey League. Brad then finished college at Mankato State University graduating with a Business Administration and Marketing degree. Brad has coached Youth Hockey for over 20 years in Mankato, Owatonna and Rochester.

Particular Interest:
Brad wants to see more youth participation. Every kid should get a chance to learn the game. Our Hockey camps are important in the community, because we do give all the kids a chance to learn and participate.

Job:
Brad is a Registered Investment Advisor in Rochester. He started deWerd Financial Group in 1983 and specializes in Retirement and Estate Planning.

Todd Huyber
Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Todd played hockey in Rochester for RYHA, Mayo High School and the Rochester Mustangs before attending Providence College on scholarship as a defenseman. Following college he was assistant coach for the Rochester Mustangs Jr. A (USHL), Army Hockey NCAA Div-I (USMA West Point, NY), Head Coach/GM for the Rochester Mustangs Jr. A (USHL). He spent 10 summers at Minnesota Hockey Camps working alongside Chuck Grillo, Kevin Constantine, Mark Kaufman, Frank and Tom Serratore .

Particular Interest:
Teaching and getting more kids involved in the game. Recognizing the great tradition of hockey that Rochester has.

Job:
Todd is a sales representative for Smith and Nephew Orthopedic Devices.

Dave Krause, PT, DSc
Interest in/Connection to Hockey:
Dave grew up in Crookston playing youth and high school hockey. He has coached both on-ice and dry-land training at various levels of youth hockey. Dave assisted on ice at the 2012 Rochester Safety Clinic organized and financed by the Rochester Hockey Foundation and co-sponsored by the Rochester Youth Hockey Association, Minnesota Hockey and the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center. Dave has also presented at safety clinics for Rochester youth coaches.

Particular Interest:
Player safety, strength and conditioning for hockey.

Job:
Dave is an instructor in the Mayo Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. He is a member of the Mayo Sports Medicine Center's ice hockey research team, and recently published a paper on predictors of on-ice speed. This paper is now serving as a training guide for local players. He has contributed to other projects associated with safety and training in hockey.

Bob Montrose
Bob is a Minneapolis, Minnesota native and will bring a wealth of hockey coaching experience to the RHF. Bob played high school hockey for Holy Angels Academy and went on to play college hockey at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He also played professionally in Australia. He has coached at the high school level for 11 years and at the Junior level for 9 years. He owns and operates the Peak Performance Hockey Camps and has been involved with individual skills training for over 30 years. Bob is currently coaching with the Rochester Grizzlies Junior A Hockey team. Bob serves as the manager of the Graham Arena Complex in Rochester. He is married to Lisa and has three kids, Sarah, Katie, and Nick.
